Logo design was one of my earliest passions in the creative field. When the opportunity came up to design the 50th Anniversary logo for Vans I couldn’t help not to go all in. At the time I was just a junior designer who rose above multiple art directors submissions to have my scaleable design chosen to be spread across the world via hardgoods, digital and print. Growing up in a digital landscape many designers more senior than me weren’t even thinking about scalability or digital-first design yet. It needed to encompass all the intellectual properties that I grew up doodling in notebooks naturally.
